Of the series of amphitheaters, it is the largest at 12 miles (19 km) long, 3 miles (5 km) wide and 800 feet (240 m) deep. The most iconic area of the park is Bryce Amphitheater. Hoodoos are most commonly found in the High Plateaus region of the Colorado Plateau and in the Badlands regions of the Northern Great Plains. The hoodoos we are talking about are tall skinny shafts of rock that protrude from the bottom of arid basins.
